DVD disk drive recognises no more DVDs, but CDs without problems

Good evening, I have a problem with my DVD disk drive. It recognises easily Cds, however, no DVDs. If I insert Dvds and then in the job on the disk drive goes it is all at once only one CD disk drive. If I the disk drive doubleclick then the disk drive is simply empty. Whether the disk drive defective is, unfortunately, I cannot say. Would be nice if to me somebody tips can give.
(Has already with Google in request, but not exactly in request what I have found)

to thanks
Nelan

supplement of 11.06.In 2009 21:03 o'clock: The problem has expanded. While I could make everything this afternoon still with nem external, also recognises of the CDs now nor DVDs. Have you tested the disk drives sometimes in another calculator???
Vll it lies to a driver Disturbance or Thus after an update. Nevertheless, to me no similar cases are known, where something so gfeschehen is. to Me is lubricated only once a disk drive, there it was in such a way. Jason B

It comes on it whether the mud on the DVD/CD is dissolvable and while rotating in the disk drive can reach, in this case. Having you some software anew instal? Nen play maybe?

DVD disk drive recognises no more DVDs, but CDs without problems

so I had a similar problem also sometimes:
1. CD / DVD Distiller reads no more DVD
2. Other disk drive built-in; went without problems
3. Day later: 2. Disk drive reads neither CD nor DVD
4. Distiller again built-in; if reads now also no more CD

> distiller sent in, when he came back everything went without problems
