Spicy Green Iguana Magazines Out the Wazoo
The Finer Print of SGI...
Below is some info that you can read if you really want to.
The General HooHa Disclaimer

Hey, it's not that I try but here are a few things to consider when browsing through SGI...

1. Freedom of speech is in effect here. I only edit guidelines or comments if they are vulgar but everything else goes. What's the point of submitting to a magazine, if I've edited the guidelines from what the editor intended to relay to you in the first place.

2. Accuracy is never guaranteed. Always, always check with the editor if you're unsure before submitting something. Especially if you are unsure who the current editor may be. SGI may not have been informed if a magazine has gone under, moved, etc. so there's always a chance I've got bad info listed. Be cautious!

3. I'm not responsible for what people write! See number one.

4. I'm also not responsible if a magazine disappears or moves locations and your submission goes unread and stamps are wasted. I know it sucks but I unfortunately can't verify info every waking hour.

5. Just because something is submitted to SGI (through the forms posted, or otherwise) doesn't automatically mean it will be added. If you offer crappy/incomplete info (ie, only a site URL) or you've submitted an item I don't think meshes with SGI (another example: your personal site where you publish your own stories and maybe someone else's every 11 months - that just isn't considered a magazine by my standards and I'm sure SGI readers will agree. If you operate a personal ego site and call it a public webzine, it probably won't get listed.)

6. Please don't submit bad magazine info. Don't say they're dead if you're unsure (or hate them). Etc, etc, it's bad karma, man.

7. Spicy Green Iguana does not accept submissions / stories / artwork / reviews / articles / generic press releases about authors or their books. I will offer advice when I can. I will not review your material, sorry. I am not a publisher, press, electronic magazine or personal bank. I offer no credit, home loans or debt consolidation. Again, sorry.

8. Have fun, enjoy your quest to find a home for your work. If SGI has been tapped out, try the marketlist.com, writemarket.com and ralans.com just to name a few similar to SGI.

The Privacy Policy Bits

Any personal info submitted via SGI's forms or newsletter sign up IS NOT sold or given out or used for anything else other than to contact you when appropriate. That's it. It's a small policy that's private, go away, you can't read any more of it.

The Rights of My Copied Writes

Other than the listings, resources and news, everything else on the site is mine. All text, pictures, graphics, code, and general funk is claimed by me. You can borrow my sheyat, just don't steal it or call it your own. Linking is cool, but not if you copy it straight into your site. If you're unsure, just ask. I'm pretty laid back.

Search Mags by Title
Fine Print

This site is designed for writers of Science Fiction, Horror, and Fantasy, as well as artists and readers searching for new markets to submit their work. I've compiled over 650 speculative fiction magazine links (some dead) for you to browse. Site designed, published by Matt Hayes. Launched March 21, 1997. Spicy Green Iguana graciously accepts any complimentary book or magazine issues for review. Even a reciprocal link will do. A new site is better than a dead site...
